  • Can I use Shopify POS if I have multiple cash registers in use at the same time?Yes. You can install Shopify POS on multiple devices, and you won’t be charged any extra. Store activity on all devices is synchronized with your Shopify admin.
  • Can I use Shopify POS if I have multiple retail outlets?Yes. You can add multiple retail locations in your Shopify admin. You won’t be charged any extra for having more than one outlet running Shopify POS.
  • Can I use Shopify POS if I have more than one employee?
  • Do I have to re-add all my products from my online store to Shopify POS?No. You can add all products in your Shopify admin whether you'll be selling them online or with Shopify POS. Products that you've set to be visible on Shopify POS are automatically loaded when you log in to the app.
  • What methods of payment can my customers use?If you're using Shopify POS for iPad or iPhone, you can accept any method of payment. In the United States or Canada, then you can swipe credit cards using your iPad and iPhone. If you're in the United States or the United Kingdom, then you can accept credit card and contactless payments using the EMV-compliant Tap, Chip, and Swipe card reader. Outside the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, you can buy or rent an external credit card terminal from a payment processor (a credit card terminal is any device that allows you to accept credit cards and debit cards). If you're using Shopify POS for Android, then you can accept cash and credit payments, and you can swipe credit cards with the Swipe (audio-jack) card reader.
  • Can I split a payment on Shopify POS?Yes. If you're using Shopify POS for iPad or iPhone, you can use multiple payment methods on a single transaction. You can also offer partial payments if you want to let your customer pay the balance at a later time.
