QuickBooks Point of sale 8.0 Manual

So I have gone into each client, deleted the what credit card information QB would let me - but it still had to keep the credit card expiry date. There is nothing else in the Customer data that I can select to stop. There is nothing in the payment preferences that I can select to stop this process. There is no way I can disable the processing credit feature in QB. And remembering to deselect that stupid little checkbox when you rushing and have someone waiting is a huge pain in the ass!I want the whole feature disabled as unlike one respondent stated QB processing is NOT free. I also don't want a process to start up everytime I forget to deselect that stupid little button that QB uses to process the transaction. Why is it so difficult to just remove the credit card processing feature altogether? I don't need it. I had to go through quite the process to get it started, why the hell is there no fix for this?Obviously very frustrated with this whole thing. Thanks for any information that could help me disable this feature.Well, I applied the fix and unfortunately I did not have the option to change previous transactions. The work around that seems to have worked is that I changed each payment type to cash, which got rid of the processing side of things. It would have been perfectly easy if I had been able to make any changes to the Payment Type list imbedded in the Payment Method - but alas, QB does not want to give up that control. In the end, I didn't have to rename the payment types, all I had to do was change the Payment Type in the Payment Method window to cash. I can still see what kind of debit or credit card deposit it is, so my reconciliations can still be done easily. The work around with some tweaks seems to have worked. Thanks so much!
